This Privacy Policy explains how KASHOPS, a sole proprietorship business owned by Parveena Rasool, bearing Udyam Registration Number UDYAM-JK-15-0040665 and operating the KASHOPS marketplace (“KASHOPS”, “we”, “us” or “our”), collects, uses, stores, discloses and otherwise processes personal data through the KASHOPS website, applications and related services.
KASHOPS provides digital marketplace, discovery and communication functionality that enables Users to discover independent Sellers, shops, products and services and, where available, communicate with Sellers through the Platform.
KASHOPS is committed to handling personal data responsibly and in accordance with applicable Indian data-protection and privacy laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable rules and requirements when and to the extent legally effective.
This Privacy Policy describes KASHOPS’s intended data practices as of the Last Updated date. The final published policy must remain consistent with KASHOPS’s actual technical implementation.

- Seller-provided registration information;

- licences, registrations or certifications where applicable;

The precise information collected will depend on the Seller onboarding process, Platform implementation and applicable legal requirements.
Location Information
Where you provide permission or otherwise choose to provide location information, KASHOPS may process location information to provide location-based discovery features, including nearby shops and products.
Location information may include precise device location where you voluntarily enable device or browser location access, or approximate location derived from technical information where applicable.
You may be able to use alternative location-selection methods where available.
KASHOPS does not claim to continuously track precise device location merely because location access has been granted.
User-Generated Information
KASHOPS may process information that you voluntarily provide, including:
- product Listings;
- photographs and images;
- reviews;
- ratings;
- messages;
- reports;
- support requests;
- shop information;
- product information; and
- other Content submitted through the Platform.
Users should avoid placing sensitive personal information in publicly visible Content.
Technical Information
KASHOPS may process technical information reasonably necessary for Platform operation, security and maintenance, such as:

Depending on the processing activity and applicable Indian law, KASHOPS may process personal data based on:

- provision of requested Platform functionality;

Where reasonably practicable and legally permissible, KASHOPS may seek to limit disclosure to information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
KASHOPS does not sell personal data merely as a commercial product. Personal data may nevertheless be disclosed to service providers, Users, Sellers or authorities where necessary for Platform functionality, lawful purposes or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy.
8. SELLER AND CUSTOMER VISIBILITY
Certain information may be visible to other Platform users as part of KASHOPS’s marketplace functionality.
For example, depending on the relevant feature, the following may be publicly or semi-publicly displayed:
- Seller shop name;
- business information;
- product Listings;
- product photographs;
- product descriptions;
- prices;
- reviews;
- ratings; and
- Seller-provided business contact information where appropriate.
KASHOPS will seek to avoid unnecessarily publishing personal information that is not required for the relevant Platform function.
When a User chooses to contact a Seller, certain information may be made available to the Seller where reasonably necessary to facilitate that interaction.
KASHOPS does not automatically provide Sellers with a User’s entire account or profile merely because the User views a Listing or shop.
Users should avoid placing sensitive personal information in public Listings, reviews, comments, photographs or other publicly visible Content.
Information intentionally made publicly available may be accessible to other Users and may potentially be copied, reproduced or indexed by third parties.
9. DATA RETENTION
KASHOPS will retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it is processed, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by applicable law.
Retention periods may vary according to:
- the type of information;
- purpose of processing;
- account status;
- legal requirements;
- tax or accounting requirements where applicable;

- complaints;
- investigations;

KASHOPS does not knowingly seek to process children’s personal data in violation of applicable law.
